Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using the Zone Réno website, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Service description

Zone Réno is an online platform that connects homeowners with qualified renovation contractors in Quebec. We facilitate search, comparison and communication between the parties.

3. Registration and account

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities carried out under your account.

4. Subscription, renewal and refunds

Browsing the directory, viewing listings and posting a project are free. Contractors who want increased visibility can purchase a paid subscription at the price shown on the Subscription page. Amounts are in Canadian dollars, and any applicable tax is shown at checkout.

Automatic renewal. The subscription renews on its own at the end of each period, yearly or monthly depending on the plan you chose, at the price then in effect. The amount is charged to the payment method on file. We send you a reminder email before every yearly renewal.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your pro account, free of charge and without giving a reason. Cancelling stops the renewal, and your access stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

30 day guarantee. If the subscription does not meet your expectations, request a refund within 30 days of a payment, including a renewal payment, and we will refund that payment in full. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take 5 to 10 business days depending on your financial institution.

After those 30 days, amounts paid for the current period are not refundable, even if you cancel before the period ends. Your access stays active until the expiry date.

Failed payment. If a payment fails, several attempts are made automatically. If the payment remains unpaid, paid features are turned off and your listing reverts to a free listing. None of your data is deleted.

Price changes. We may change the subscription price. Any change is communicated to you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect and applies only to later billing periods. You can cancel before the effective date if the new price does not suit you.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. Zone Réno never stores credit card numbers on its servers. For a refund request or any question about your subscription, write to us at: info@zonereno.ca

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading or fraudulent content
• Use the platform for illegal purposes
• Harass or intimidate other users
• Attempt to compromise the security of the site
• Collect personal data of other users without their consent

6. User content

By posting content on Zone Réno (reviews, photos, project descriptions), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on our platform. You remain the owner of your content.

7. Limitation of liability

Zone Réno acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee the quality of the work performed by contractors. We recommend that you always verify contractors' licences and insurance before entering into a contract.

8. Intellectual property

The content of the site, including text, graphics, logos and software, is the property of Zone Réno and is protected by Canadian intellectual property laws.

9. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on the site. Your continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
